    So this past weekend I switched from a Z10 to a Q10.

Let me tell you the Q10 is officially the best Blackberry ever, hands down.

    1. The battery life is incredible. It's better than the Bold 9900. After a day of heavy use, I have 40% battery at end of the day. This includes:
    - Leaving screen at 100% BRIGHTNESS
    - Leaving the bluetooth on all day (and using it to stream music while driving to work)
5- Using the GPS for 5 minutes.
    - Surfing the web, texting, BBMing, making phonecalls, etc.

    2. The touchscreen keyboard can never replace a physical keyboard. After using the Z10 I was really missing my physical keyboard. You just can't express the passion on a touchscreen keyboard - it just gets numbed down. The touchscreen does not give you the satisfaction of being able to press hard into the keys when you are...lets say, angry.

    3. The Q10 is as smooth, fluid and fast as the Z10. In fact, I think it is even faster at times.

    4. Only one orientation on the Q10 which is great. The Z10 orientation changing on me when I'm lying down etc was really annoying.

    5. Many apps designed for the Z10 actually works on the Q10. Even Angry Birds worked well.

    6. Overall, the phone feels less cumbersome to use. It's smaller than the Z10, after all.

The things I do miss about the Z10:
    1. The "swipe left" on the keyboard to delete words. I miss that.

    2. Some apps are still designed for Z10 and not Q10 screen which is annoying. For example, the United Airlines app.

    3. Form factor... some of the features on the Q10 like the hub is not optimized for the small screen. It seems like it's still designed for the Z10. BB needs to put more effort to optimize font size and form factor on the small screen.

Overall, if you are deciding between a Z10 or Q10, I highly recommend the Q10!!!!
Also, if you would like to buy a second hand Z10, let me know =)

Yeah but the biggest flaw is when you are in landscape mode in an app on a Z10, when you return to the home screen it forces you to go back to portrait. And you have to side swipe to leave the app as if you were in portrait. Super super annoying.

Yeah, I'm sticking with my Z10 however I do absolutely agree with you that the rotation implementation on the Z10 is bonkers. It really does not work well. There is simply no consistency in the behavior and the entire experience is really all over the place.

Interesting I'm thinking of trying it if one of my family members upgrade. Until then I'll enjoy my Z10. I do miss the keyboard tho.

Also, rotation seems to cancel itself when you reboot.

I bet you anything that I can out type you on my z10 versus your q10 haha.

I dare anyone on a z10 to try their old 9900 or any other device for typing and you will cry and miss your z10!

sometimes i use my z10 only in portrait when using video or surfing a webpage just to see if i could deal with a q10 and it's SO horrible. But I really do miss the buttons when trying to type out something long. anything short to mid length is actually probably faster on z10 though. but i think i'd miss the screen size more than i miss the buttons. I only wish the the q10 was as tall as the z10 and utilized space better so it had a longer screen that you could still turn sideways. something like that tk justice render. would be best of both worlds.

    I switched from a Z10 to a Q10 and it's the best choice I've made!-tk-justice-concept-3.jpg

The only thing I would personally want from the Q10 is the battery life. Otherwise I prefer all things of the Z10.

Enjoy your Q10! I'm sure it's great too.

Really? REALLY? The only thing I can think of is that you weren't on 10.1 on your Z? Otherwise this statement is ridiculous.
