I just wanted to say how important this application is to me. I have many passwords and I wouldn't trust them with anything but my password keeper on a blackberry device. I had nightmares when I used a password keeper app on my galaxy s3.

Cool, Do you have the desktop companion as I do to sync the passwords with your PC? If you don't you should get it and you can use Dropbox to sync through.

What is the desktop companion I don't want to sync it with anything as that decreases the security value. I only did back ups which are password protected them selves.

Yep, I could not get along without this either. Much easier to enter master password than on my Torch as well. Thank you BlackBerry.

Does anyone know anything about the desktop sync client referenced above? I searched BlackBerry.com but couldn't find anything

Would be nice if Jag40 could clarify what he was talking about as I couldn't find a PK desktop companion either

agree, this may be the missing link to Password keeper for bb10. I did not want to use this AP until I figured out how to use the same technology on my macbook where I need to access many of the same websites as my bb10.

One of the best things about the bb password keeper vs all the 3rd party apps on other ios / android is the fact that it does not ever allow an Internet connection to the application. I will happily deal with no sync for the security this provides.

And yes I freaking love password keeper

I too love this feature! Used it on my Torch 9800 and now again on my Z10. I was worried that my information would not move over when I changed phones, but the transition was the easiest part of the switch.

I had my Z10 since Monday night. I love the phone but there is one thing that was missing. Password keeper. I don't normally like using something like that but I have been using way too many passwords. I started using password keeper and life was good. Buy the Z10 and that was missing. I was lost. I would use my old Torch to get my passwords. Then I stumbled across this thread. Thank you. My Z10 just got that much better.

I can request new passwords. I can also get a new BlackBerry, set it up and get all my passwords on my new phone. Great set up.

I don't know the details but I agree I just feel safer saving them on my BlackBerry would never trust a 3rd party app for it!

I think I might give that application a try. Thank you for the info. Just like others, I also have multiple passwords. LOL At times I couldn't even remember them all. I need to pull my drawer and check on my diary. How obsolete!

I use the password protect extensively but wish I could add fields and customize. I have had to recreate all my passwords because the 3rd party app I had on my Torch did not upgrade to z10.
One thing I plan to do is to print out and keep a hard copy in case something happens to my phone. Of course the backup is there in case.

In response to ubizmo: I was worried about this when I upgraded to the Z10 a few weeks ago, but when I went in to set it up on the new phone, I put in my user name and password for the password keeper on my Torch 9800, and when it opened on the Z10, voila, they all transferred over! I was one happy man to see this, especially since the transition from 9800 to Z10 has been quite frustrating for me overall.

I appreciate the fact that BlackBerry made it a priority to keep Password Keeper continuity in BB10. Personally, though, I'd like there to be another way to get at the data. I don't want all my passwords in only one place that requires a BlackBerry for access.

I was never a fan of Password Keeper. I've used Ascendo's DataVault from OS 5-7. Ascendo informed me that the BB10 version will be available soon which also has it's own desktop UI.

This used to be one of my mostly used apps.

There is nothing to be a fan of, it just works perfectly without jepordizing your security. I wouldn't use anything else.

I am an avid user of Password Keeper and was delighted at the smooth transfer from my Torch.
However it set me thinking about how much I depend on it and who knows, maybe one day in the very distant future I may use a phone that isn't a BlackBerry! So as a precaution I now use Last Pass on my desktop which maintains a duplicate record and is painless to use.
