    Hi all,

Was speaking to a phone rep the other day who was from a certain fruit based brand who spoke positively about BlackBerry!!

Anyhow be mentioned that blackberry will focus all attention on physical keyboards as this is what they think will grow the customer base again, rather than touchscreen this to me would be a huge step backwards the touchscreen is what drive me forward to my z10.

    What do you think?

I would hope they'd accommodate both users, seems to be the smart direction to go, to me.

What made BlackBerry BlackBerry. Keyboards and real time email. Going to a all touch will destroy them. I love keyboards and that is why I came back to BlackBerry.

Guess my device. "It has keys"

I love my Z10 and now my Z30, but I still switch into my Q10 and love that keyboard. No one does the keyboard like BlackBerry does, so I wouldn't be surprised if they focused on the keyboard.

That being said, the Z30 is such a nice phone. It looks and feels every high end, and the battery life is just awesome. The Z10 and especially the Z30 make me want BlackBerry to continue making touch screen devices, because now I'm a fan of what they can do in devices other than full qwerty.

Im 31 and quite a big geek. Over the last few years Ive had and used in succession, the bold 9000, touch 9800 and then I bought iphone 5, Q10, Z30. The last 3 phones I still have and use. I also got a Z10 and a SGS3 for my fiancee which I maintain. Of all the devices I love my Q10 the most. Nothing beats it for work and messaging.

My point of telling you this is that I really think the keyboard is the way to go with BlackBerry.

Sure it wont capture the leadership in the global market again like it used to but it will be a very strong niche.

A good number of my friends who have used BlackBerries before but have now switched to android and apple have told me they would switch back to a keyboard if the screen is large enough and offers a decent feature set.

All it needs is a bigger screen and maybe a different screen rario (especially for android app compatibility and also to have better app layouts) and slightly better specs.

I'm not buying a new phone until my contract ends next year. However, I would want BlackBerry to continue the Z series (touchscreen). It good to focus on keyboards, but we need some touchscreen Blackberries.

After loving my 8800 and 9930 I now have a z10 and I will never go back to a qwerty device so I'm hoping BlackBerry continues to make at least a mid range full feature all touch device.

Sorry qwerty users. There are not enough of you to keep blackberry in business. Well that's not true, if you want subpar hardware then yes they can survive in the background.

We need a touchscreen, qwerty and low cost device to go forward. Although I'm afraid BlackBerry is suffering from the fragmentation we all criticized android for

I get the keyboard love; I had both a 9900 and a Q10 and loved the keyboard on both.

That said, I think I'm actually a faster typist on my Z30 than I was on the Q10; the virtual keyboard is just that good. And I REALLY love swiping.

To top it off, I like the 16:9 form factor in general, especially for watching video.

In order for BlackBerry to win the masses, we need full touchscreen phones.

Preferable one high end and one low end in the Z10 Form factor. One high end in the z30 Form factor and for the people that can't let go a high end qwerty device with maybe a low end device for upcoming markets.

I love my Z10 but I also loved my 9810.

I don't think it should be either or, I think if they can continue to develop the touch screen and particularly the virtual keyboard they will encourage more people onto the platform.

The Q10 has a great keyboard but the biggest drawback from my point of view is the lack of screen real estate.

Now what about a slider for the best of both worlds, I know it's been said before!

I came from a 9800 so I know what you mean. A good slider would be the best of both worlds. They would have to make it sexy though.

Moving forward with both the QWERTY and the touchscreen would be the ticket for BlackBerry. At least that's what I'm getting in this thread.

I've always had problem with software keyboards no matter the platform or keyboard I tried. I live the Bold keyboard and the Q10 is amazing. But BlackBerry has out done themselves with the Z10 and Z30 keyboard. Best ever and I don't think I would go back to physical (unless it's a damn sexy BlackBerry) BlackBerry is the master of keyboards and the Z series hold true to that as well.

I loved my 9900, but screen real estate is just too valuable now in terms of apps, browsing the web, and reading pdf attachments. I think that for most people, cell phones are now more about consuming info than communicating.

I will admit to missing a physical keyboard and if money was no object I would have purchased a q10 to go alongside my z10. However, there is just no going back for me now. My next phone will be the z50, if it comes. If not, then it will be a z30.

I honestly doubt that BlackBerry will completely give up on all touch. I just don't see Foxconn only building the cheap phones. What could happen is that BlackBerry will focus and design the qwerty phones where they can maximize profits, while Foxconn handles the all touch phones.

Give me the Keyboard! Q10 is perfect. I carry a Windows 8.1, eight inch tablet for all the other needs. The best of both worlds. And very rarely do I find myself on the tablet. Youtube, Movies, Internet and Word. That's about it.

If they made a phone the size of a z10 with a physical keyboard or an iphone with the keypad (I actually thought about getting the iphone 5 and get the typo keyboard), I would be happy with that. Q10 is too small I think and I was thinking about staying with it at one point and just carry around an ipod 5 for apps and music and just keep my q10 for business, emails and chaTting
