Got mine two years ago and still find it great!
I do think that BB is losing on the apps "game" though. Specially FB app. It sucks.
Another down is the battery. It just doesn't endure much.

Got my Z10 black version about an year back. Apart from the battery I'm still in love with the phone. No Androids or iPhones can beat the buttery smooth UI of BB10. Can't believe it is a 3 year old phone and still feels so up to date

Just got a Z10 from work that was not being used. Have always been curious about the Blackberry community and wanted to check it out. So far pretty neat OS but have had a couple issues but not major. I couldn't get the native Waze app to work from the BlackBerry world so I will try one from the Android Market which is version 4.0 but 3.6 is the one that was installed from the BlackBerry World.

I was so excited when I got the phone as I had been using Blackberry for years and tend to keep phones until they die and brought this one when it was just released. As a Blackberry owner we know there are special things that these phones can do and you get used to them and put up with the little things as its a Blackberry and nothing is perfect BUT I have seriously considered throwing this phone many times.

Now I don't normally rant on forums or put in a complaint about things but my lovely phone pushed me over the edge today, the reason? after waiting to on hold to be put through to my bank the phone decided to mute itself, when the person answered they couldn't hear me so stated they were transferring me to someone who could help me, when that person answered and couldn't hear me, I looked at my phone again and this is when the phone decided to show me it had muted itself, and then the person hung up on me! I know the obvious thing is perhaps that I had muted the call with my ear as we know can happen, but I was on speaker so after wasting 30 minutes trying to speak to someone my phone nearly became part of the wall.

The "touch screen" clearly this means you can simply touch it as it's an optional extra if it decides to work when you tap it, swipe it to unlock or answer a call. At first I thought unlocking the screen must be done in a certain away (apart from the way stated in the manual) but after 3 years I now see it as a game of chance and wait in anticipation to see if I will win the prize.

Trying to download things is also entertaining since I can't use Google play as it can't find my device, when I went through the list of phones on Google Play that are compatible Z10 wasn't on it, so if it is now compatible, for whatever reason my device can not be found despite me doing everything I need to do and getting other people to try as well. Yes I have also done the "what are you talking about its in my hand, i'm using it to access you."

The battery life isn't the best and I find the battery starts to heat up which is a bit of a worry and I do wonder if when it's charging or after use that it will be that hot it will start a fire as its very hot, but if its cold then its a great way to warm up in a short amount of time.

After putting my phone on silent at particular times, it then took it on itself to keep putting itself on silent, clearly it doesn't want to be a phone so I have decided to give in to its demands and just keep my phone on silent which actually has been nice and peaceful, so perhaps my phone knows me better than I know myself.

As with older versions of Blackberry I have had to turn off the phone numerous times just to get the thing to work, I don't know perhaps its a dramatic phone and likes to suddenly have a tantrum and freeze to get its own way, or its the satan sporn of Justin Beiber and is enjoying tourturing me.

Hands free also seems to be an optional extra since it connects and then decides to disconnect and you suddenly hear a little voice coming from your phone and realise the phone has decided it doesn't want to use the hands free function,

I don't have children so never expected to have a 2 year old child in the form of a phone but frankly this is the end for my love of Blackberry, when this phone gives up the go, I will be forced to find another phone (clearly not apple) and sadly move into another direction.

There are lots of people with lots of reasons to leave BlackBerry but this takes the cake. Your 3 year old phone is acting up. It's time to move to something else. BlackBerry or otherwise.

Your first post being a long story about issues with your 3 year old Z10 seems a little out of place in the "I got my Z10" thread. You may want to make a new, separate post in this same section perhaps looking for help with these problems...or not?

Ok just got my Z10 about a week ago. I know to some of you I may seem to be behind the times, but I love it.
Actually I have 2, the first activated and worked fine, no problems. The second one activated and works, but my BBID, and settings are grayed out.
I love the phone so can anyone tell me how to fix this problem?

    Both phones are sta100-4

I just got my first blackberry 10 device! the z10 . My first black berry was the torch. I love the new os, but I am kinda annoyed at how hard it is to download the apk for android. Still trying to figure that out. Other then that ..defiantly vail tested and vail approved . its a very durable device and has been great!

I use Amazon download apps for android content. I love BlackBerry, but I do wish they would upgrade the z10 to be more compatible with android apps and content since they have partnered with them now.

I have had my Z10 for just over 2 years now and still love it. Does anyone know if or how to get Android Auto for it. I just bought a new car and it is equipped with Android Auto and Apple Car Play, but I don't want to give up my BlackBerry just to connect to my car.

Would be better if you start a separate post for this since it's a different topic. However if you install Cobalt's patch for the Play Store, you can download Android Auto directly. You could also search the net for the APK for it but then you may not know if you're downloading from a trustworthy site.

I got my Z10 and been using it for about a month now, I keep losing my phone data, every time my battery dies, since I usually work on the field I cant have it charged always. And I tried to restart to see if it still happens, and it does! All my contacts, apps and photos are erased.

How can I stop this? When I turn on my phone, I'd like to pick up from where I left, without having to re install and resync my apps & Contacts

    Thanks

I saw a Z10 in a shop yesterday for $79. By an act of will I withstood buying it. I don't need a Z10, especially don't need another touchscreen BlackBerry. I'm going away tomorrow straight from work and not coming back till next week, hopefully it's gone by the time I go back looking for it.

Some of the on street phone repair places would probably sell you one out of their electronics recycling bin for $10, if you can find one. I got an old Q10 that way a bit ago.

So I gave in, went back and bought it. It was after all the first BB I ever had and introduced me to the convenience of pain-free text entry on a vkb.

This one's so nice, maybe even the one I lost.

It's giving me the 'Welcome to BlackBerry/Complete Setup' nag. Should I go ahead as well as doing the other 'stuck at setup' fix?

It is an STL100-3, OS 10.3.3.3216.

    And thank-you in advance!
