Who hates that we can't control the Auto Brightness setting!! Is there no work around for it?

What is there not to like? It is dynamic relative to your manually set brightness preference.
Personally I like this method, the Auto is less intrusive. I guess Blackberry could add an aggressiveness level.

Ever phone since the start of the light sensor has had the option to turn auto brightness off, I like my phone very bright and with the current settings I can't have that. It is my only gripe with the phone

Yeah if I go to the max my screen will be really bright for a second but after I close settings it goes back to around 50%

This is the best sensor I've ever had in a smartphone and I love how dim it gets and how it always seems to be already at the right brightness when I turn on the display, but I understand your desire for more flexibility.

That is very strange. My screen doesn't turn down much on me after the setting. Maybe I am changing the setting in a dim room.

Lol I went into the bathroom with the lights off and changed the setting and it stuck apparently I can't change it in average lit rooms lol

I have to agree my screen is very bright. Every time I pick up my GS3 I want to throw it against the wall its so dim in comparison

It's awesome way it is, u can reduce the screen brightness with the slider.

I do think that the auto brightness on this phone does the best job that I've experienced, but I do wish that there was a brightness toggle in the drop down settings menu. That would be more than enough for me
