The only problem I see with Blackberry going under is the proxied email. But you can run Android K-9 mail. I use it to send plain text email.

But blackberry is not Palm. BlackBerry has contracts. The DoD just approved them for network use. In fact, at a level beyond the standard FIPS 140-2.

You see, my car is a Saturn. Saturn has been out of business since 2009.

I am amazed they even still make gas for my car.

I am afraid that one of these days I will go to work and discover that Saturn's aren't compatible with the interstate system anymore.

Wait, that would be silly. Kinda like it would be silly to think that a z10 would just stop working if BlackBerry went out of business or were sold. etc

Can you still get accessories like batteries and tires? Oh god what if they stop making windshield wipers! Lmao love this post!

Blackberrys and Saturn's. Hmmm really encouraging. The only difference is Saturn doesn't have a warehouse of servers which if switched off render the cars 90% useless

    Saturn is GM

It shares parts with every other GM car and probably mitsubishi. Which is why it doesn't matter if it disappeared or not just like my SaaB.

Not the same as a blackberry.

Wtf you talking about... Saturn has been a gm product since 1985... And never with mitsubishi ....

Did I say it was mitsubishi learn to read I said it was GM, and I said it probably has mitsubishi parts in it almost every car does. Mitsubishi sells belts, starters and other components to everyone. Same way as your q10 has Samsung components in it.

Again, Saturn had their own plant in Springhill TN. They were in many ways separate from GM, even though GM owned them. They were started by GM to compete with Japanese auto makers and were built from the ground up with new methods etc

GM definitely uses Mitsubishi components. For example, the starter in the new Camaro.

As for the OP's analogy, yes the car would still work, but if the parent company (GM) went under, would OnStar still function? Would TSBs still be issued, or software updates?

BlackBerry phones are in the same boat - sure, they would work, but anything relying on BlackBerry servers would no longer function, and new software development woud cease.

What components are from Samsung within the Q10? BlackBerry has their own patents. Why would they want to take anything from Samsung? :/
