Ok so this is a bit weird, everything is awesome with the hub except that I'm unable to see earlier emails ? what I mean is, it only shows emails that I got since I received the Z10 and setup Gmail to it, i have 2 gmail accounts ready for it, but I can only see mails that I got since I got the device... how do i see all my emails ?

I got emails since 2010 in the accounts.

I've searched google and tinkered with the device as much as I know but I'm a little lost here, Thanks...

EDIT : Everything is good, just waiting for the 10.1 update to arrive, Thanks everyone!(No need to bump this thread further)

Agreed. It seems like the latest update for the Z10, hid the IMAP option for number of days to keep. I got it as an option , when I set my Hotmail account up on the new version, but it was set up as a POP3 account only.

Weird. Gonna try deleting my Gmail account and recreate it to see if I can set the retention time.

I was thinking of doing the same, could you let me know if it worked for you John Pawling ?
I really want to have the ability to see all my emails on my device, even a simple "Mail" app that came with the iphone which is the basic of all basics of needs for a user with a smartphone, is something that misses on my blackberry z10 :/

Just tried the recreate and it didn't give me the option on retention time. I'm going to poke around a bit more to see if I can find that darn setting.

Unless someone else jumps in here, after the 10.1 update, you won't even be able to set the retention time for Gmail emails. It is like BlackBerry hardcoded it to 30 days.

it's been told if you had it before and set up whenever month that you could keep it that way...I think

it is the new one that google will not support

as of right now in 10.1 it only goes up to 90 days..I heard

i guess 90 days is pretty good, but I'd hate to tell people while im looking through my mail confidently that I have something important they need or to view history that my blackberry cant show emails past 90 days, I've taken the BB path only for the pure business part and less for the apps, I really need to see all my emails, this is absurd to be honest, and i'm a Z10 user for 4 days, slightly disappointed...

instead of using Gmail you should use the outlook or Hotmail as they are " forever Emails "

    Alain,
I do (see my signature) and I can't set the retention time on an IMAP account even at setup time.

Even reloaded 10.1 last night to figure out if it was a upgrade problem. It wasn't

As was I. He wanted to know if he could set "forever" on his Gmail, but even in 10.1 you can only do it if you set up Gmail manually using POP3 instead of the automatic IMAP configuration.
