YES it does, why are you trying to confuse people?

No he is right. It's not working on 10.2. Even I tried.
Basic problem is, on os7, there was a option to set the enter key to 'send'. If you turn it on it will send Msg. But if you un check the option, it will work to go to the next line.
On BB10, if you don't put the recipient name and start writing an msg, it will give option of enter key but when you put a recipient name and then starts typing msg, it's only send key.
See the screen shots below

On OS7, on my 9810, there was a separate key for send msg below on bottom bar.
On BB10, what they can do is simply put a send button on top right corner. It will solve this issue.

Nice tip. Thnx

I used shift + send a lot in BBM and SMS.
But since 10.2 it doesn't work anymore. :(

@Der_Mit: Did you try it on official release of BlackBerry 10.2?
If it does work then there is something wrong with my Z10. (Software Release: 10.2.0.424 on Rogers)

Shift-send works on my verizon with a Sachesi loaded 1791(? I think that's the version)
Shift + send does work for me by holding down the shift key as you press send

On bbm press shift, dont let go,then press send. Works everytime on 10.2.0.1791.

That's the difference with 10.1 & 10.2.
I have to keep holding down the shift and press send at the same time on 10.2 now.
Previously with 10.1 I just had to press shift and let go then press send.
Thanks everyone!

Thank you for updating. :)

Sorry friends,
Option to set the enter key to send ON/OFF for text msgs is there in 10.2.0.1791 already. Missed out on that one.
Still it's same in bbm though. You have to hold shift key and then hit send to change the line.
Thank you 'thurask'. Got it in your post on 'Vodafone UK 10.2.0.429 update!' forum.

Don't be silly of course it works!
Fired from my Z10
Just press shift and then enter
If you are going to use Word Substitution anyway, why not use newline(enter key) as a substitution itself rather than the spaces. It won't even increase the size of your message.
I tried it and it works like a charm. I added a shortcut in word substitution, in Original Word field, I preferred nl (NewLine), you can use whatever suits you. And in New Word or Phrase field, i just hit the enter key. Thats it. It will work in any app.
Just type nl and hit space and it feeds the newline.
Also remember to uncheck the Always use this capitalisation option while creating the shortcut.
-from my Z10
It has never worked on my phone, regardless of version.
