My number is already turned on.
If that is the case, toggle the setting off/on and try a reboot.
If that does not work, since you cannot seem to edit your SIM number, I would recommend calling your service provider and make sure your device is provisioned properly.

That only affects whether your number can be viewed by the person you're calling. This won't make the number appear at the top of the phone app. I believe you have to call your carrier and ask them to push your phone number to your SIM.

That's a completely different thing. If you disable it, people you call will only see "private number", "unknown number", etc.

Ya. It may not work; however, I think I recommended your suggestion already.
    Thanks for the heads up!

Have you tried area code and number only? No parentheses, no spaces, just the plain number.

    This is interesting...
What OS & Carrier are you on?
My Verizon Z10 doesn't have "Show My Number" listed under phone settings.

I'm on T-Mobile with the official 10.1 MR of .4780.
Things may be presented differently or even have different service options between a GSM and CDMA carrier.

Hmmm.. Try rebooting the phone? I just checked mine and I can change it without error. Maybe it's a carrier thing they locked out for some reason..

    I'm with Telus

If your phone is unlocked, and you are using a different sim card then you might not be able to see your number. I traveled to Ibiza this summer, got a spanish sim card and the only way I was able to see my number was by looking on the sim card pamphlet that came with it.
