Recently tried Advance Contact Search and it does not work.

It did not locate a known word I was looking for within my Contact notes.

Is there some trick to get this to work properly?

I love my Z10. Had it since shortly after its launch on Verizon. But I do have to say, not being able to search the entire contact database, for a "business" phone is a pretty glaring error. It's not as bad as Apple's first iPhone not having the ability to cut&paste, but it is pretty bad.

I can only guess that there must be some HUGE obstacle they they would have to overcome in the code for this not to have been corrected YEARS ago.

I agree that this is rather surprising. Apple took about 5 years to get an all fields search into Contacts. Perhaps BlackBerry will be faster. The work around with Contacts Search Advanced is a great tip and works well. Only problem: if the word you're searching for is accented, it will not find it if the accent is not included in the search.

If users in the English language are not completely satisfied. Consider us that use other languages. Shouldn't we be able to find what we are searching for ? And I will state once more that being a SonyEricsson user for a decade now, with Symbian OS, I could do miracles with searching!
