    Dear Berries,

I purchased a resale Z10 for $120 and it is awesome.
But, unfortunately, couple of days back I dropped it and broke the glass.
Now the display shows but the screen is cracked and the touch doesn't work.
The local repair shop asks $150 to replace it, as you can see it makes no sense for me to spend that much.
I saw several posts and videos and I feel I can fix it myself.
But I am not sure what parts need to be purchased, considering the display works, just the touch screen and glass needs to be replaced.
    Please guide me.
    I found few options:
BlackBerry Z10 LCD Screen and Digitizer with Middle Plate (4G Version)
    BlackBerry Z10 LCD Assembly (LCD-46537-002/111)
    BlackBerry Z10 Digitizer|Touch Screen
NEW Original Blackberry Z10 LCD Screen Digitizer Assembly Black 001 Version | eBay

    Thanks in advance!

Here is what I would do: take the phone to a repair shop and let them fix it. The $$ spent are worth it to avoid the stress, the likelihood of breaking something, and in general screwing up my phone.

I think I explained why I am not willing to go to repair shop.
I purchased phone for $100 and I will not pay $150 to get it repaired.
Further, I saw from several videos on Youtube that the process is not complicated.
I am willing to go down the DIY path for this one.

If you are determined to fix it yourself, my opinion is that you should disassemble it before purchasing the replacement part. Look for any identifier on your broken screen and use those numbers / serials to identify the right replacement part online.

    You can do it yourself.

The part is a combined LCD and Digitizer in one.You need to know the part number on the back of the broken LCD screen. To get that, you will need to remove the old one. Follow this tutorial to the tee. The required tools are shown at the beginning of the video:

If the part number on the back is LCD-46537-001/111 then buy this part:
    BlackBerry Z10 LCD Assembly

If the part number on the back is LCD-46537-002/111 then buy this part:
    BlackBerry Z10 LCD Assembly (LCD-46537-002/111)

    That's it. Hope that helps.

Thank you very much. This is what I was looking for.
Just to understand it better. The LCD may not be broken because I can see the icons and all.
However, the touch sensor is surely not working.
But here we are talking of replacing the LCD. Are they the same thing?

Unfortunately with the Z10 the LCD and digitizer are one in the same which is why it stops working withe even a small crack.

I am also curious. My screen is now cracked but functions in the area outside of the crack. I have learned quickly for similes of words that contain the letter 'p'.

Sorry for the delay in replying.
Coincidentally a friend of my friend runs a phone repair shop. He had a broken Z10 lying waste. He let me have the LCD from it and then I replaced it myself.

I slightly scratched the chassis of device while separating broken LCD. Also the front camera is not working for some reason. But 90% it is working.

So overall I am pleased with the repair but there is a room for improvement.
