I keep seeing everyone complain about the major apps, which is fair to do.

I just want to ask that if you were able to pay for that one banking, social, or other app how much would it be?

I ask because a lot of devs are waiting to see how everyone else is fairing. So, how about everyone takes their time instead of posting a threw about Skype, banking app, instagram, or Netflix just browse app world and see what's out there and BUY something. There are so many great apps out there to just keep searching for that one.

There's plenty of fish in the sea

I wouldn't pay for a banking app as my business is what keeps them in business. IMHO <3

    Anything I find fair.

For example, I gladly paid $1.99 for Podcasts. It's one hell of a well made app.

You won't see me paying $0.99 for IM+ (neither PlayBook or BB10 versions, which they charge WAY more then they should). Sorry. There just isn't enough value on the app to justify. And I really could use a way to access WLM/Skype/Facebook chat.

So there you have it. Fair prices, good apps, and you have my business.

Do you wanna know if I'd pay for Skype? Yes. Probably. If it worked just like it does on my windows PC. But no more than $3.

EDIT: On SHAPE's defence, they bothered with a description in Portuguese for BlackBerryWorld, which most devs don't. Props to them. Bring the price down and I may re-think my stance.

For a quality app with no adds. $10.00 Easy. I laugh when people complain about a $2.00 app being a rip off.

I will pay for any app that is useful to me. I'd even pay a couple bucks for an app that keeps my screen on while charging.

If I can use it. And it's very fine quality, I'll buy it. I've seen some ported apps for sale though...wouldn't purchase. Just saying

Any other app I have NO problem paying for and have. As for a Paid Banking app...ABSOLUTELY NOT!!! At least here in Canada, the banks push you to use all other services such as web ATM etc, rather than go to a branch and they already rape me with enough BS charges.

10 to 15 bucks for a quality native cascades app with hub integration and good support... 0 dollars for ported apps, while it's nice to see the name in App World if you put 0 effort into making your app for BlackBerry 10 why would I pay you anything more than a free download! I don't use to many apps but would love some instagram, flipboard and a native Google wallet app or PayPal to take advantage of my always off nfc chip

For a quality app, I dont mind paying the premium as long as its worth its dollar. Banking apps no way, that is something they should provide to its clients to help them happy. All in all, id just like to see more decent native apps show up. In time I am sure the devs will see the CB crowd doesnt mind paying a premium for a quality app.

That's a good question. I've actually never paid for an app. I haven't found a single app out there that I really need or is very useful for me that I couldn't get for free. I'd be open to paying up to a few dollars for an app if it was very useful or a really need.

I have purchased several apps for the Z10 already. I think the most expensive was $10, but cumulative I am sure I've spent over$30 so far.

I have many apps for my 9900; probably over $200 spent to date, with the most expensive single purchase being $60 for Todomatrix.

I tell that to underscore that I am not shy about purchasing apps, but there aren't a lot of truly great apps out there right now. Either that, or BBW needs to be revamped so I can find them.

An example of what I am looking for is a great task management app based on Stephen Covey's principles. I'd pay good money for such an app.

But stuff like games or ebooks I can get for free from Guttenberg - no thanks. Make me more productive and I'm listening. Maybe buying.

To have the bank of America app WITH mobile deposit, would happily pay $10-$20. Call me crazy, but in Chicago it's a real time saver.

I would gladly pay for apps that help me in my job. For example, I would like an app similar to the Top Model Release app. I paid a lawyer for model release and contracts, so why not something that is native, convenient, and makes my life easier. I have decided to spend $10 monthly in support of native devs but would gladly pay more for apps that meet my above requirements. (That's less than most people spend on fast food in a week. )

I wouldn't pay more than $5.00 for a phone app. It's not like the devs put months of hard work into them. I know there's a lot of hours to be spent coding but for the most apps, all they have to do is make their existing app work for the OS. Can't speak for other brand new apps but I still don't think any phone app is worth much for what they do.

For a good quality and usefull app .. No problem for 10$ or even more.
But the problem I have is always to qualified it first for my specific use and expectations.
These should be available for few free days try, after which, if really a good apps for my needs I wont hesitate to purchase it.
Comments is one thing, but not always what we want to see.

When I purchased my first ever BlackBerry device I wanted MSN. There wasn't one but I beta tested BeeJive before it was even named that. I went ahead and purchased it for 35 bucks I believe. At the time it was worth every penny. Constant updates was always connected. I wouldn't mind paying a price for an app I need, but it has to be an app id use daily that is native and kept updated and supported.
