Hey folks just curious ball park time frame how long did it take you to upgrade from 10.1 to 10.2. From start to back in business, and was it over wifi or plugged in too blackberry link?

    Cheers

WiFi download was quick, about 5-8 mins. The install was about 45 mins. I only used BB link to backup my phone.

I'd say about an hour total over WiFi. Downloaded quickly but took 45-50 minutes to install.

I tried doing it over the blackberry link. Took me just over 1 hour from start to finish. Wow this feels like a crisp sharp device now!

I highly recommend you try the dark theme for contacts. Looks amazing.

    Cheers!

Seems like some fairly long download and install times. Mine downloaded and installed in just under half an hour total time. That's even after the reboot. Everything seems to be running ticketyboo, too!

In your contacts, swipe down from the top to get settings. There, you'll find default theme. Choose Dark and restart your contacts (the theme doesn't take effect until you restart the contacts app).

Open up contacts app. Swipe down for settings. In settings first thing "default theme" select to dark. Then close settings and then reopen settings! Viola!!

I'm on the z30 and I don't see that option. Running 10.2.0.210. Option not available on the 30. Just verified on my wife's z10. Crackberry has defaulted to dark theme and it's driving in nuts. Can't turn if off....thats bizarre

I was going to do it OTA but I wanted to fully nuke the leaked version I had, so I used Link to "restore" the phone and let it find and download the update. I downlaoded the update at 10 mb/s so it only took 5 minutes or so, and it loaded onto the device in another 5 minutes or so... The first reboot took awhile but I just had it in my pocket...

I'd say no more than 15 minutes I was setting up my device
WAY better than results I heard from the iOS 7 launch

Edit: WOW I'm reading through earlier comments and now suddenly feel like it was a smart move to just start fresh... I spent about an hour setting up emails and apps (I have quite a few side loaded so...) but still...

Couple hours total. It first downloaded the ~477 MB update. Then it downloaded a 1GB update. Everything works now except instant previews. But I have to play around with the settings.

Overall it took a couple of hours. That included the reboot. That reboot took a while but all is now ok.

I didn't want to mess around with just updating on top of my existing OS so I started fresh
    Backup - 15 mins
    Wipe - About an hour
OS update via OTA - 45 mins
Data restore - about 15 mins
And then maybe half hour to reinstall apps.
