I bought mine September 2013, paid 750 USD and it died January 2015. Just after 15 month.

That's unfortunate. I have had mine for several years and it's still going strong. Have you tried to get a replacement from your carrier?

Had my Z10 now for just over two years since launched in the UK. Still going strong even though it is now relegated to just my work phone and not my personal phone. Just wish the battery would last as long my my new phone, but it is a Zed after all so can't complain.

I just got mine a few weeks ago. Traded in a Q10 that I had for the better part of two years. The physical keyboard is more efficient than the virtual keyboard, but the Q10's physical keyboard started to double type on occasion. So I thought it was time to go virtual.

I like the Z10, but I miss the efficiency of the Q10's physical keyboard.

I hope this phone lasts me at least two years.

Got mine in August, seemingly died this morning. Whether it was from the 10.3.1 OS or not (it's on a contract from AT&T, so I loaded a leak) is baffling to me. I'm reloading the OS at this moment, so hopefully I can revive it.

I moved to the Z10 because my crAPPLE iPhone died after 13 months, 1 month out of warranty. Apple's response is that is an old phone, just upgrade to the new one. I escalated my complaint and was shocked how rude and indifferent the more Sr. The employee I spoke to.

The last comment , they asked me what I expected. I said I want the phone repaired and I would even pay for it. They responded that they cannot repair their phones. So I told them that I wished I had known that iphones were considered disposable phones. She actually got angry but said what will it take to make me happy. When I suggested they replace it even with a refurbished phone she barked "do you know how much that would cost Apple if we did that for everyone? I reminded her that Apple was the world's largest and most profitable corporation so it shouldn't be a problem if they really cared about their customers. She lost it and ended the conversation.

We simply pay too much for these phones.

Having said that my Z10 is running perfectly 2 years and counting.

I got my first Z10 when they released on Verizon, even switched carriers to get it. It ran perfectly until last December. It never had the restart issue that some of the early models had. It was perfect.

Last December it spent 2 days going to a blue screen and then shutting off. After 2 days of that, it just never came back.

Verizon overnight shipped another one to me and it's just as perfect as my first one was, right out of the box.

Too many dead Z10s, unfortunately. There is a thread on every single page in Z10 forum. Some users report having multiple defective devices.

I think thousands or even millions Z10 around there. The complain or claim in this forum, I think still under 100 units. That's normal for electronic devices. Dont take it seriously since this phone is 2+ years old age machine. And lucky I could bought it 2 months ago with cheap price but got beautiful compact Blackberry "breakthrough" OS designed I ever use. Its remind me from my Old WebOS which is adopted gestures by Blackberry

2+ should not matter, if it matters, what about BlackBerry curve or bold series!

Hi. This is talk about Z10.
You cannot compare whole old devices with more than 3+ years. Every brand has they old phone.

But for me electronic device should be 2 years life at minimum age. Lucky you got more. If you dont know technically matter such SAR or power amp circuit. You will not understand. I would not use phone more 3+ year age.

And company/factory need too grow and build their profit. That's why, today mobile phone/brand will create 1-2 model each 6 months

Not many people wish to use a mobile phone beyond two years due to the nature of contracts (looking at the UK market). So I would expect the hardware to last that long and anything beyond that is a bonus.
