I plan to go abroad around August and I was wondering whether it will be easier to find and buy unlocked Z10s as time goes by. I was thinking of just getting one from rogers or another Canadian carrier but if buy an unlocked one from somewhere legitimate later, then maybe I can wait.

If you buy one from any carrier in Canada, you can unlock it on Crackberry.com for $35, I used it, it was fast and easy.

Virgin bell Canada z10 I unlocked mine for 30 bucks tax in online

Don't go thru your carrier, they charge too much

I also plan on going overseas at the end of the month so font want to pay roaming charges

It's easier to get one from a carrier and then unlock it online rather than wait to see a factory unlocked one is available. It's also easier now that so many seem to be showing up on Craigslist - picking up a used one is becoming a viable option!
