Define "original"? As in unused or counterfeit?

Does it have BlackBerry World, or BlackBerry Protect on it, or the Hub, or,.. pretty much anything that's in BB10. I don't think there has been any reported cases of a counterfeit device actually running BB10.

There are knock off made in China BlackBerry 10 phone running on android OS. I think that's what OP is referring to.

As long as it is running on BlackBerry 10 os, it is legit BlackBerry phone.

China not made BlackBerry device. The BlackBerry device made in Mexico or assembly in Malaysia . Currently Taiwanese Foxcon has been taking over assembly (OEM) device. The OS and SR by BlackBerry servers. The market have reconditioned (used) BlackBerry device on unauthorised shop. The BlackBerry OS 7 device it can't reset phone data and shown device has been used. I can't found this function on BlackBerry 10.

I think you have to check out the PIN and the IMEI
You also might check if it is black-listed...
On doubt, better avoid it!

I talk about renewed z10s, not fake z10s. Some people in Hongkong and Shenzhen, China have bought old phones ( that have broken screen, housing...), renew then sell them to some countries with low/very low prices.

As you mentioned some BlackBerry devices are reconditioned as repaired and replaced by old parts. In unauthorised dealer is common that fixed with old parts on devices. This is hard to find out old parts on devices.

I don't see what's the issue with that? Fix a device, sell it for lower price. Sounds like a good deal all around to me, as long as they actually work properly. Better than throwing them into the ever-growing mountain of electronic waste.

He sound means some used device was fixed old parts or old device fixed up loose parts. How to find out original device not fixed with used parts .

The only fake I saw was a Z10 look a like running Android.

Z10
