    Hello everyone,

This is my first post here on crackberry. I have a white z10 from Verizon. The learning curve wasn't very steep for me because I did plenty of research on the phone before I bought it. I love the phone and I understand everything except one thing!

How can I indent while typing a text? Eg:

    What's up?

I can't figure it out and I have failed to come up with anything through a search.

    Thanks in advance!

Not sure if there's a command but five spaces is equal to one indent...hope that helps

I think OP is asking about starting a new line, which isn't yet possible in texts!

    Yes a new line,

I need to have new lines!

I'm sure it's not coming on the next update but perhaps the one after?

Search the forums. Someone already figured out the solution.

I've tried searching, didn't find anything and another poster says there is no way of doing it.

And I'm talking about new lines not just an indent for paragraphs (my mistake)
If you know how to though, please, do share.

There is no official way to do it however you can go to

Settings >language and input > automated assistance > word submission > add shortcut. Then under "typing" put ##. On the lower area put only space all the way until you get to the X sign and hit save. So whenever you wish to start a new line in the future all you have to do is type ## and a new line will start. FYI you can use any sign you want. Hopefully we'll have an update soon to fix this. Hope this helps.
