I downloaded the newest 10.1 leak and started using my phone. I was on the CB10 forums and my phone froze. I rebooted it and Battery Guru showed a temperature of 104 degrees farenheit.

I remember my old curve froze and get hot like burning hot and the battery immediately drained all the way and the battery just died. It would not take a charge. I suggest you should back up and restore you phone to original OS to prevent further uncertain damage. 104 is pretty hot even for weather

I have no idea what the limit is, but 104 sounds very bad. The hottest my phone ever got was in the 30s a few times, and one time in the 40s.

30 degrees Fahrenheit is quite cold Well as for me I'd say anything from 20 to 45 degrees Celsius ( 68 to 113 Fahrenheit) Is still within normal operating temperatures. The high end of that you could tip when playing some graphically intensive games. I've gotten to 41 degrees Celsius (105 Fahrenheit) while playing a game one time.

Pulled the battery and put a fresh one in. No problems now with both batteries.

It is very likely your phone was integrating your new operating system so was just using a lot of processor power. Now it's back to normal.

It will get up around that hot while charging or playing a resource demanding game. It's pretty hot, but not unsafe.
