I use the official pocket. That way it's protected and when I'm using it, nothing gets in the way.

Me too, I've been calling it a holster but it's a very snug leather pocket.

Dropped mine off a 12' ladder on to a tile floor. Have a small nick in the plastic housing, and that was it. Thought for sure that the screen would have shattered or the phone died - but it works fine. Did buy a case that I used for a couple months after that, but I've gone back to just a bare Z10.

First poster here and long time reader!
Sold my iphone 5 for a Z10 over here in the UK when they dropped to 180 and have not looked back! The best, and most refreshing mobile experience around.

My dilemma is this, I absolutely love the look and feel of my white z10 but have it in some cheap leather flip case. It's either in my hands or in its own pocket.

I really wanna use this without a case but I'm terrified it's gonna scratch like there's no tomorrow?

Is this the case or am I being too paranoid? Thanks guys

Personnaly, I have my Z10 since May, have made it fall done several time and have just tiny scratches on the side so I don't see the need for a case.

you went one from one extreme to another. You don't need otterbox for sufficient protection. A slim case with lip can protect the glass, but you would still need a screen protector.

I've had mine (Z10) since launch... And well its faired up pretty well! Dropped it a couple of times from my ear on the tarmac... And onto concrete.. Still lives! But it once dropped screen first onto a piece of metal.. It left a mark LOL!

Another here that's had there's for a long time and no case. I do have a screen protector though. I find the z10 extremely durable.

I used it without a case for 9 months before switching to the Z10. Doesn't hurt it one bit

[QUOTE=nath1492;9716672]Another thing I find is that for some reason, the bulk that the case adds seems to effect the typing experience on the phone and for some reason my thumbs seem less accurate. Sounds bonkers but it's true.

After a bit you will get used to it and the "reach" will disappear. Unless you have real small hands, then I would go with the leather flip case, easier to carry and remove the phone, and then all should be good.

I have dropped my Z10 once. It was sitting on top of my jacket which was on the passenger seat of my car. I picked up the jacket from the passenger side door and forgot about the phone. When it fell to the driveway, the screen cracked and rendered it useless as it wouldn't recognize any of the gestures I tried. $140 later it has a new screen and a iSkin Vibes case which comes with a screen protector. Haven't dropped the phone since and hope I never do. The case has a nice gripping texture and it's not bulky or ugly. As long as it gives a little protection against a broken screen I'm not ashamed to rock it. Broken phones on the other hand are downright ugly. Especially when they don't work.

I carry it around without a case, but I find the black one incredibly grippy with the soft rubber back, and with that I seldom worry about dropping the phone which is the only legitimate worry about the phone because it is really hard to scratch up this phone at all if not little.

I've never actually believed in drop tests... For some reason I drop it multiple times since launch and my screen doesn't look like someone took a hammer to it :/ Just a few scuffs here and there nothing major.

I never use a case on any phone i've every had. The case takes away from the look and size of the phone. I've dropped my Z10 twice on concrete as i got out of my car. NO ISSUES AT ALL. It's much strong than other phones. Samsung glass phones crack and you end up with dead spots on your screen. Iphone is made to break when you drop it so they'll get more money out of you when you buy another. This Z10 is a beast. Its durability is one of the best things about it.
