If I already have contacts in BBM and get a new BlackBerry can I still keep the same pin so I don't have to go through and add them again? Also on the same note if I have a 2nd BlackBerry can it have the same pin for my Bbm contacts as well even if it has a different number? Just curious have been wanting a q10 additionally but don't want my contacts to do any additional work. Thanks for any info on this.

I brought my bbn contacts from my 9900 to my Q no problem. Used the same BlackBerry id and pw and it all showed instantly

As rebroker says BBM uses your BBID as your unique identification, not your PIN. When you sign onto BBM with a new device, BBM will retrieve your contact list using your BBID, All your contacts will be automatically updated with your new PIN. You can use a BBID on multiple devices, but only one of them can use BBM at a time.

Just to add... your pin is device specific and can't be kept. so once you change the device you will get a new pin.

As stated above by transferring properly it should be a seamless process for you and your contacts.
