I am learning that Z10 came with a 'Heat Sensor' under the key board... that watches for patterns in mis-typed/fat fingered letters...

Has anyone here seen that in action? If yes, how do I make sure I am taking advantage of it?

Running Q10, but it should work automatically and you're not going to see it.

It's just a capacitive screen. Dual layer versus the conventional 3 layer.

All I know is it learns how you type. And MAYBE it is able to detect whether you are hitting what part of a key in the keyboard. Heat sensor seems impossible, as far as what I know.

My 1st choice of smartphone (not smartTOY), BlackBerry.

However, post #3 is THE answer.

To take advantage of it, just keep typing! Just go for it and you will see how it helps in the long run.

This is the actual heat map from SwiftKey on my Nexus 5 showing where I tend to strike the keys on the keyboard. Since BB10 has licensed SwiftKey tech in their virtual keyboard, I would assume it's the same on BB10, but they just haven't given the option to view your heat map.

Heat map is a term used to describe an accuracy graph. Like the one shown above. This is how BlackBerry is using it. By using your heat map to better predict your lousy typing. Nothing to do with thermal energy

Blackberry keyboard Is powered by SwiftKey they wildly popular android keyboard

SwiftKey has a feature called heat mapping. Google it and you will have all the answers you are looking for

Was Also gonna mention swift keys heat map, but I'm a bit late lol

I do miss being able to see how far out I hit the outer keys.

I prefer that bb10 made the keyboard simpler, sure I could check where I'm hitting a key bit all that really matters is if I get the words when I want them

    Thanks everyone!
Whether or not its really adjusting my key strokes, I am now convinced that some 'thing' is looking at where the keys are vs where i`m hitting.
