As far as I know, there is no way to mute that without turning off sound notifications.

This goes the same for the camera shutter, and the keyboard if feedback noises are activated.

Settings>Language and Input>Feedback
Then move the slider to choose the volume you want.

EDIT: Scratch that. I swear that this worked for me with past updates. I see it no longer works on 10.2.1.1055.

You find that Setting under
Settings -> Language and Input -> Feedback.

Turn the Slider to the left and the ugly noise should be gone. But for me it's broken since 10.2.0 - when I do a Restore it didn't work. I need to disable all Sounds if I want it to be gone.

Yep that thing is Broken since 10.2.0 - it's a 50/50 Chance that it will work. I don't know why it's still not fixed. That noise is annoying as hell IMO.

This is(was) the right Place. In older OS Versions the Dial Tones was disabled also. At some point they introduced a Bug (not able to disable when you do a Restore) and a few Versions later it did not work anymore at all.

My dial screen doesn't make noise and I don't have my phone on vibrate - I simply turned off every sound notification on my phone. The only sound my phone makes now is the stupid voice-command "person"

I wanted a way to glance at my phone and tell if my phone was on silent or vibrate - but the vibrate and silent symbol was exactly the same. My only option? Turn all sounds off and turn all vibration notifications on.

My phone doesn't make touchtone sounds when I dial on it. I thought that I saw this setting somewhere and made sure that it was set to "off", but I can't find it now. I'm on 10.2.0.429. I'll update the thread if I find it.
