I suspect the answer is here somewhere. But I'm tired and had a heck of a time getting on CB this morning and afternoon.

I recall on the earlier devices, you would use the Alt-key, I believe.

What about on the Z10's dial pad?

If it exists, I don't know how to engage it. I'm on 10.2.1.1925 and not finding it nor anything on the pad to switch to it.

Click the phone soft-button at the bottom of the home screen and then click dialling pad (bottom-right tab).

Your home screen where the apps are hit the phone in the bottom left

Dial pad pops up? Is that what you mean? But you cannot type in the word FLOWERS, use the appropriate number key to match the letter you want. As seen in my photo F=3 L=5 O=7 etc.

    1. Open the phone app.
    2. Press the dial button.
    3. Type the number. For the letters press the number that contains the corresponding letter.

    See screenshot five posts above.

Yes there wasn't a dial pad on the older devices so yes you had to use the shift key and it would allow you to enter the vanity number. Now we have a dial pad so it's done the old fashion way as QXS mentions in the attached thread.

They are lovely. I hope that they last till Valentine's Day so I can re-gift them!

(and, see, I was so pooped from my hike(and stressed that I could not get into CB this morning or when I came home) that I missed the incredibly obvious!!!)

An alternative method is to enter the vanity number in the search box & click on the phone icon as part of the search results. Works like a charm.

Confirmed; has to be all uppercase. Also, needs the 1-800- prefix before it recognizes it as a number to call and make it an action.

Doesn't have to be a 1-800. It works with 10 digit numbers as well.

Only works up to ten digits for me (Flower works, flowerS does not). Must be my regional settings or something.
Thanks for the tip, I keep forgetting all the actions you can do from the search box.

It would be great if you could type 1800flowers and have the search pull up the phone number as an option (wherein one of the options is the numerical match to the letters on a touchtone phone). This would be amazing.
