This has being asked so many times I've ran out of body parts to count on.

You have to wait for 10.3.1 or install a leaked beta OS.

Coming on Monday Dec 1 at 3am. It's a Cyber Monday promotion for the first 1000 true BlackBerry fans. Don't miss the chance...

I am having the same stupid question so thanks. I have to do any update OTA and have failed three times already just trying to get to 10.2. Now i would like to just wipe the phone and start with the next one, wonder if thats possible without a computer.

This is for my Z10 i dont even want to put my sim card in my Z30 for several reasons.

Can a wipe and a fresh install be done just through the phone?

I have also been looking at BlackBerry for an answer.

The phone works, i just want it to work nice and smooth like i know it can.

There are hundreds of thousands postings in this forum. If Search finds nothing, then it's not possible. Must be a computer somewhere around you. Download an official 10.2.x OS version autoloader, install BBLink on the computer, follow autoloader instructions and 10min later it's done - you have a fresh OS on your phone. Don't forget to backup somewhere all your files, contacts, calendars, messages, etc. Your phone will be totally wiped in factory default state.

You can do an upgrade offered by BB over-the-air OTA.

I do not THINK you can install an OS any other way without a computer. I THINK for leaks you need a Windows PC. (maybe a mac sachesi version???)

    BBLink can install the OS.

You can probably do a Security Wipe (can take hours) leaving you with only your current OS. But, again, I do NOT THINK you can install an OS without a computer.

Someone will correct me if I'm wrong.

    Thank you F2 and MilesDQ!
I am having a day here, failed twice at posting a reply to this thread, but i want to thank you for the polite advice and the posting of what Sachesi looks like. The reason i was blindly looking for something that didnt exist is i thought i recalled something about removing your sim card to get OTA updates that atnt isnt dishing out yet. And just trying to get 10.2 the way it was supposed to work OTA with or without the sim card.

I will update how it turns out.
