My sibling wanted to use my Z10. They didn't know my password, so they tried to guess it, using up 5 of the 10 tries for inputting a password. Now, not only do I have 1 try left (I had tried to guess my password), the password format has changed! I used a picture password before, and now it is making me give a word password. How can I fix this?

You don't. The only way to prevent it from wiping is to know the current password and where you don't know that, you're pretty much pooched.
