Had the same problem. I upgrade with the new leak. But I imagine an OS load, or maybe even a security wipe might do it

In the hub, tap and hold on the date at the top, select mark everything as read on the left hand side action screen.
I think its the bottom icon.

Have you tried going to the hub and going to the top and touching and holding on the date bar header until the menu pops up and then select to mark all messages read?

That's odd, you can't see it anywhere in the hub or texts category? My wife had this issue with one and it turned out to be a message she began to wire and never finished it. After going through her messages carefully, I found it and removed it which cleared the notification.

I'm not sure if that's the issue in your case, but I hope it helps. I know how annoying it can be when you're trying to be efficient and manage your device and something like this happens.

Now if only I can resolve the issue with another family members voice mail notification not going away. That one has been trickier. Even going in to voice mail shows no messages. I see the voice mail in hub, but can't delete it.

I hope you're able to resolve your issue promptly.

Send yourself a text. Have people text you. It will go away. I had the same issue with BBM.

in hub click 3 dots in bottom right corner, click search, click three lines (top left corner), go down to filter by unread. see if that shows anything?

To check if there isn't a "hidden" not sent text message, you can go to settings within the hub (3 dots) / Display and actions and enable "show sent items", then filter the hub with "text messages" (bottom left menu). I had one persistent I created without even noticing it, causing the same symptoms. May worse a try.

Restart the hub. Refresh. 3 swipes from top right towards left bottom. That should do the trick. I hope

It's a draft text message.
Have a look through all your texts and find the ones where you have started a reply. The reply might just have a space so look empty.

Odd that a draft would show up on the lock screen but sure is possible.

Also, try restarting the hub. 5 diagonal swipes from the top right corner in a row. This cleared a phantom notification for me.

Tried everything. Disappears and back again. As I mentioned earlier. I have deleted every single text message thread that and on my phone, so it isn't a draft.
Hub restart temporarily takes it away.
Guess I will do a wipe and restore, will anyone direct me to the most stable 10.1 leak for my Z10STL100-1? Much Appreciated

There is a chance, that this could be a text messages saved to SIM card.

Have a look here how to disable this (however on my Z10 I don't see this option):

If you try all the advice above, and get nowhere, it may be worth contacting your service provider. I had an issue with a 'stuck' voice mail icon a few months ago, and EEUK had to clear it from there systems as it just would not disappear from the screen.

You said you tried a standard restart (long press, hit restart button). Have you tried shutting down the phone, leaving it for a couple minutes, rebooting? Or straight out battery pull?

Have you gone into your text messages from the app icon and not the hub? I know this seems basic, but I finally figured out how to clear missed calls by going directly into the phone app, hub wouldn't clear em.
