I was wondering about this for the longest time and found this out by playing around with it just now. In the legacy OS, you would hold the "alt" button with the backspace key to delete text to the right of the cursor; we all knew that.

On the Z10, hold the caps/ shift key and hit backspace button to achieve the same thing. I'm sure this has been posted or maybe even documented, but thought I'd share here anyway. It works everywhere from what I can see. I couldn't find anything in a search here.

Dont you just swipe across the keyboard to the left to delete words? One finger = one word two fingers=2 words .
why do you need the alt key at all?

I was wondering about that too, how to delete anything on the right of the halo correction bubble.
    Thank you for the tip!
That's going to make correcting my errors easier.

They're talking about deleting words to the right of the cursor, not the left.

You can also do this with the "?123" key. It does the exact same thing!

    Already knew about it.

BTW, there's another way in 10.1 where you tap, in this case, the right of the circle. This works for going up, left, right or down.

That feature has been that way since BB10's inception and most are, or should be aware.

This thread is about deleting text to the RIGHT of the cursor...

The circle has nothing to do with deleting text, only placement of the cursor while editing or deleting.

It worked for me on 10.0 - it was just very fiddly. 10.1 has now made it rock solid to the point that you can trust it to work (as you want it to) each and every time.

'Backspace' (what you've described) and 'delete' (what the OP described) are two very different things. A backspace will remove characters going from right to left whereas delete removes characters from left to right.

Thanks the OP for posting this thread. I tried to do this on 10.0 but it didn't work, so I forgot about it until I saw this post. I tried it again (now that on 10.1) and it works fine now. Very happy about it. I think this is a feature all phones should have!
