Can anyone help - my z10 was smashed so it truly cannot turn on or be saved - i have a backup Q10 and would like to use the bbid i had on the z10 however when i put in the username i get a message stating that the bbid is already in use from another device.

I cannot firgure out how to remove it from the dead z10.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

You don't need to remove it. You can have the same ID on as many devices as you want.

When you fire up BBM for the first time, it will ask you if you want to sign in from your current device. This will automatically sign your other devices out of BBM.

It sounds like instead of signing in to an existing account, you're trying to create a new account.

That will work. However, if the Q10 has 10.3.2 installed, make sure you disable BlackBerry Protect prior to wiping the device. Otherwise it will ask for the current BlackBerry ID after wiping. If you know it, it won't be an issue I suppose.
