When you add a picture it automatically creates a MMS message, same thing if you add more than one contact. You can change the settings to display MMS and SMS Mode notifications, which will alert you every time it turns it into a MMS automatically. They are off by default.

To do this:
In the HUB tap the 3 dots on the lower right side
Tap on settings
Tap on Text Messages

The options are in there, hope that helps you out.

Does your carrier plan include data? If not, then you won't be able to send a picture text.

In your sms settings hub>settings>text messages.. check the advanced configuration for sms..mmsc should be populated..if not, call your carrier for the settings..gets wiped all the time on updates/reloads/randomly
