I had no interest in the rumored 5inch blackberry device. I have a z10 and just didn't think I wanted anything bigger but from looking at the images of the z30 it looms like it might only be slightly larger than the z19 since the screen is pushed out much further. It is also a standard 16x9 so the width shouldn't be much more.

    Anyone have actual demensions?

WHAT THERE IS A Z19?!? HOW COME NO ONE TOLD ME!!!

Anyways, the Z30 will be a 5" 1080p AMOLED Screen. So about the size of a S4

The new Blackberries with the 5" screen will likely be bigger than the GS4 due to the larger swiping bezels on the blackberry. The Z10 and GS4 are pretty close in overall size now, as I have both phones. The GS4 has small bezels for a 5" screen. Not the case for a 5" Blackberry.

    Yes, I meant z10.

I know the screen specs. I was hoping someone knew the physical size.
In other words, I am wondering if perhaps it might be only slightly larger since the images show much less wasted space.

Lol your math is terrible a z10 is much smaller than a s4. Need a baseball glove to handle the s4.

Um.. Hello. I own both phones. The Blackberry is 130 x 65.6 x 9 mm. The Galaxy S4 is 136.6 x 69.8 x 7.9 mm. The Galaxy S4 is bigger, but only bigger by a few millimeters. The Blackberry is close in size because of the large bezels, even though it has a 4.2 inch screen compared to the S4`s 5 inch screen. The Z10 looks smaller, but when you have them both in your hand at the same time and overlay the Z10 on top of the S4, the Z10 isn`t that much smaller. Too many people assume because it`s a 4.2 inch screen vs a 5 inch screen, it`s much smaller in overall size, but like I said, the large bezels on the Z10 make up for it and it`s surprisingly close in size when you hold them both in your hand.

No current or future BlackBerry 10 phone will be 1080p, the A-Series will have the following screen specs:
    720p AMOLED screen,
    Lower PPI than the Z10.

720p is also considered full hd by some standards. Some places say it's qhd. Just depends where you read it. But I have read a billion things on the z30 or a10 or whatever you want to call it. But I haven't seen anything saying it's 1080p. I would be pumped if it was but to my knowledge it isn't.

Do research and process of elimination. Just because one place says something doesn't mean it's correct if dozens of other places contradict it. There is also the possibility the one place is correct. Everyone just will need to wait till its official.

You're correct about HD standards, rjerrell - it's possible that the A-Series will output 1080p via its HDMI port.

Nowhere does your "official" spec sheet explicitly state FULL HD will be 1080p. Not does it state 720p either.

I've spoken to BlackBerry several times, they have confirmed 720p for the A-Series as that's what they consider Full HD.
BlackBerry's own DevBlog states: "Full touch devices: 1280 x 720 (16:9)" therefore the A-Series would need a resolution of 1920 x 1280 to support a 1080p screen, a resolution it DOES NOT support Kris.
