Got home from work last night and my modem was dead (hopefully just the ac adapter), so my only net connected device was my Z10.

As much as I like the Browser, I'd prefer to use a larger screen. So, without much hope, I tried to tether my IPad to the Z10.

I'd tried it once before, and didn't get anywhere. But to my utter surprise, once I enabled Tether on the Z10, then switched on Bluetooth on the iPad, if connected straight away. A linked chain icon appeared where the wifi icon normally is, and the iPad quite happily accessed the Net through my Z10.

    Who'd've guessed?

Wait, I don't understand. Why was this a big deal? Does your carrier not permit tethering as per your plan? Is the iPad not able to be a tethering data recipient?

And why did you have to turn on bluetooth?

Because getting any Apple product to connect to any non-Apple product is Mission Impossible.

I had to switch Bluetooth on because it was switched off.

Yes but you don't need bluetooth. Just create a hotspot

Not true. I paired my girlfriends iPhone 4S to my blackberry mini blue tooth speaker the other day while we played tennis. BlackBerrys and Apples can be friends!

Are you sure you are using an Apple iPad and not a Dell tablet running Windows?
