Tap and hold the icon until it starts to pulsate. Hit the little trash icon to delete.

This method will delete BlackBerry apk.files but Android files from OS10 loaded from Google Play or Amazon are hidden but not wiped deleted on storage, use File Commander to wipe and thus restore storage space

Is it possible to delete in the same way with „ghost commander“ or a similar program the Amazon App Store and Amazon-programm, and is it dangerous to do this ?
By the way, many thanks for this very good forum, Thomas

You can’t delete either of the amazon apps, best thing to do is to place them in a folder called unused or something similar, however this will not free up any storage space.

All the time i did this, and never opened these two applications. But i thought to get rid of these with the help of ghost commander. Now i do hands off, because i know, that this is not possible, thank you very much.

You can force stop the Amazon apps in monitor with a long press, then Close, which will keep them from using system resources. You may need to do this every time you reboot.

If you never log in, they remain inert and never use resources.

My problem is I said yes when Amazon offered the Amazon Underground app when I first got the patch with the Amazon App Store. That app seems to log in automatically at boot up and absolutely sends data to Amazon. I can't seem to log out of it, either. So, I force stop but each time I reboot.

Use Sachesi to "delete" the two apps. They will reappear after reboot but will remain inert.

Thanks. The other option, I assume, is just a factory reset. I haven't reset the OS on this Z10 EVER since March 2013!

That would be the nuclear option, yes.

It's been kind of a point of pride that I've kept this particular Z10 without a factory reset and with only AT&T over-the-air updates.

I've never used a case, and it's really given me no problems for over 7 years now. On its 4th or 5th battery, but otherwise probably the most hassle-free computing device I've ever owned.

Waiting for AT&T's updates and no case is brave.

I couldn't wait to install the first leaked OS available after I first got my Z10 in August of 2013. I said I'd live with the version on it for about a month to learn it first.

It lasted a week before i ran my first autoloader.

As for using a case, I tried that for a few months too. My previous Torch 9800 survived without one for 3 years with only a few minor chips in the chrome trim. But after a few drops put flattened dents in three of the four corners (and a tooth put a dent on the face of the forehead piece - don't ask), I had to get a case. Still in it today.

I am one of the folks who was really happy with my Z10 at launch. I had been using an iPhone for about three months and couldn't wait to replace it. I found the improved VKB, Hub and Web experience to be 100x better than the iPhone from day 1, and the launch bugs that the Z10 had seemed a small price to pay.

I am an eternal tinkerer on my other tech, but I just like my phone to work without my fooling around with it. I just don't feel I enjoy many benefits to marginal optimizations on my mobile phones.

How are you liking the new SE? Have you found anything similar to the HUB and how is battery life?
