No I would have not bought the Z10 again. It wasn't worth it. Looking back, (and for what we paid for it) it was absolutely stupid to buy a device for the future, meaning that it wasn't ready right then, and you're betting on/hoping/relying on the company to make it a competitive device. They clearly did not. I will never do that again. I won't buy a device for what it MIGHT do for me 6 months from now and compare that to what the rest can do today. I'd buy a device for what it can do for me today. Sure, the OS developed, but it was only to things that should have been there in the first place. We were also promised apps, and we didn't get them. BlackBerry finally made a move with Amazon, but it's too late for that. As far as the hardware itself, the battery life is unacceptable, the camera is adequate at best, and the speakers are mediocre.
    Ouch

I bought mine last year, and I had a couple rough spots I guess. But, this phone actually took me entirely out of the phone debate... and I mean completely out of it!
I'm usually hdmi'd into one of my tv's, bluetoothed to keyboard and mouse, working away and this SOB never lets me down. It's an amazing piece of equipment!
By the way. I photograph, and I only use Leica M series rangefinders. I love great tools!

I would but I only paid $200 for it. It still performs so well that there is no way I could justify spending 6-700 just to get the latest "shiny".

I h8 2 say it... but, probably yes!

    Sure, I can't customize it a lot...

But with the paranoia re, security I take some solace in the fact I'm (lead to believe) I am on the most secure OS...

Plus, it does all I want it to in re, to work...

Love the phone. Can't get enough of it. But I think I'd try Q10.

Does anyone regret buying the Z10 at the launch for 700 now that the Z10 is being sold for 200 dollars?

Even though it is a company issued phone. I actively pushed for our company to stick to BlackBerry and not follow all those other iPhone switchers.
I would take the same decision asap.
Even though today I would be talking the passport
BB10 is simply an awesome OS

Absolutely would buy z10 again. Have used it for18 months and if this one dies, I will buy another to replace it unless something comparable comes out in the meantime.

Yes, I certainly would. The two major (if you can even call them major) issues for me are a lack of a Nook App and currently no place to buy movies/tvshows. But the issue can be fixed on my end through a good conversion program.

Not to derail thread, but check out Calibre, it's free and converts just about any book format. I use Coolreader from amazon appstore currently as ereader.

And yeah I did buy another Z10, this time unbranded! Love the phone, just wish I could get voLTE or HD Calling on either of them with T-Mobile. Battery life is predictably meh, at least it's consistent, the android devices I had prior would kick in network location provider or mediascanner and drain battery in an hour or two at the worst times. BB10 hasn't done me in like that.

When I heard way back when that Blackberry was releasing new phones, before any idea as to when or what, I was planning on getting the new PKB Blackberry, which turned out to be the Q10. However, Blackberry released the Z first, so I went ahead and bought it, getting the Q as soon as it was released. However, I use the Z way more often than the Q, even though I've been a PKB Blackberry user from the 7100 days. Go figure, but yes, I'd do a Z all over again.

I agree. At times calls on speaker could be louder, which a 2nd speaker would help.
