On my OS 6 and 7 devices I could choose specific folders to not show up in the Pictures app. I can't seem to find an option for this on OS10. I'd really like to hide some of the Android sideload/runtime pictures that now pop up in my pictures app. Does this feature exist and I'm just overlooking it?

I wish I could do it without needing an app.

You can just zip the folder and it won't show in the pictures app

But if the pics are part of an application, that would render them useless if zipped, no?

Not the best solution but I played around with file manager and by storing pictures in the music folder they don't show up.

Ie the pics won't show in either the music app or picture viewing app. They aren't hidden like we could do on the old platform but unless someone goes through your file manager the images won't show anywhere.

Putting pics in the music folder does indeed hide them from picture viewer.

Wow hiding pictures with an app called hide my pictures. That kinda defeats all purposes of hiding anything. Red flag for anyone who would see that app. Unless this app's folder could be renamed that is not an option I would consider.

Change the file extension. Instead of jpg, rename it jgg. Then it won't show up or function anywhere like a picture.

I think the idea applies to more than nude pictures. Apps download pictures, like series guide, and I would not like to see picture if tv shows next to my camera pictures...

It should be an options called restrict to this folder, like there should be an option for the music player to restrict to a folder as well

The app is password locked. When they are in the app... locked, you can't access them at all. So yah, it keeps them safe.

That's very true lol. But do you think I should wait? And maybe BlackBerry will put this feature in 10.1?

That's your call. It will more than likely be added to the file manager in the future. Hide my pictures is the easiest app to use ,if that's any consolation.
