    Upgraded my Z10 to a Z30.
I want to unlock my old Z10 for travel so I have purchased my Unlock codes to try.

Do I have to have my SIM card reinstalled in my old Z10 when I enter in the unlock code?

    Thanks in advance

No, you do not. In fact it will be easier for you to insert a sim card from another carrier, under which case a pop up will show up asking you for the unlock code
In either case, you can also unlock it, but I can't remember the exact method. It's on the forum somewhere

I unlocked my not being used brand new Z10 today from Quick Phone Unlock for 20.00 CND. And you do not need a Sim card installed ,just go to Sim card settings and press the unlock icon then enter code tab will show automatically enter the code and that third heading will show up if its a success.

This is correct. You no longer need an alien SIM to unlock.

What CND? Do you mean CAD?

Nope. The abbreviation for the Canadian dollars is CAD.

CAD is the Canadian dollar. CND isn't.

FYI: CND is the abbreviation for "the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament".
