Does anyone know where to buy a NEW factory unlocked (not carrier branded) z10, STL100-3 in black?

We need this for work, and cant seem to find them anywhere. White ones seem to be available, and branded phones seem to be available, as do used phones. However, we cannot seem to locate a new, factory unlocked, black device.

Any help or guidance is very much appreciated. Thanks!

Thanks! Staples in Canada seems to have them, however, it doesn't appear they will ship to the USA. Were you able to have it delivered to the USA?

EBay UK has loads for cheap. I picked mine up for 60 and it's as close as new.

I was looking at Staples Z10's too the other day but noticed the models they have are not necessarily STL100-3's, at least they advertise different part numbers of PRD-50656-003 for the white one and PRD-45184-012 for the black one. I haven't found exact proof of what STL # those translate to though I am leaning towards the STL100-3. Does anyone know for sure which models Staples has? It would be a pain in the **** to go there and buy the phone only to discover it's not compatible with AWS/Wind Mobile (my cell provider) for example. $199.97 for a Z10 seems steep these days for an EOL phone but then again it is brand new and does come with a warranty and no blacklisted IEMI. $50 extra piece of mind I suppose. I am anxious for it to get the 10.3.1 update though.

I have two 100-3 phones. The black, which I bought branded to T-MO (USA), is PRD-45184-003. The white I bought unlocked from Shop BBerry is PRD-50656-003.

Just curious...why do you have two Z10's? One work, one play? Or one backup?

scrannel, thanks for both your posts. As to the Amazon link, nobody seems to know which model they are selling, STL100-3, STL100-1, etc, etc, and they are completely lost when you ask about the sub-model (RFK121LW). I've called Amazon directly and emailed the sellers directly...the consistent answer is "we don't know, so if you aren't confident, don't buy from us."

The other issue is nobody seems to understand the difference between a factory unlocked phone and an unlocked, but carrier branded phone.

We ordered a device from Target and they sent an STL100-1, despite having inquired directly with their sales team about needing a STL100-3.

Its been frustrating, and we need a couple more of these devices in order to hold us over until (hoping) Blackberry comes out with a true all touch replacement for the z10/z30. Plus, personally, I still think having a replaceable battery rocks. =)

Any other ideas? This doesn't seem like it should be hard to find a couple of phones....

Well, as for the sub models of the 100-3 (RFK121LW vs RFF91LW) it's been discovered that in reality both these sub models are exactly the same. The spec labeling on the RFF91LW is incorrect. So, no worries there. Not sure why people can't just go look at a freakin' box and tell you... maybe it's because they have a ton of 100-1 phones and need to unload.

I have two Z10s because I like the phone and when they went on sale on Shop Bberry... couldn't resist.

    Cool, thanks. Was just curious...

Also, I am pleased to hear you comment on the two different STL100-3's being essentially the same. I read elsewhere in a really long thread dating back to 2013 that the two models will work on Wind but one had to be unlocked and once that was completed, they both work just fine on Wind's AWS frequencies as they both have 1700 and 2100 Mhz radios (in fact they're pentaband). The RFK121LW being the band that works on Wind by default and the RFF91LW needed carrier unlocking first. I'm still trying to find definitive proof of this but the more that I look around, the more proof I'm discovering to lead me to believe that they will both work on Wind.

WIND sold the RFK121LW, but if you get, say, a TMO branded, locked RFK121LW it wouldn't work on WIND without unlocking either. The RFF91LW would definitely need unlocking to work on WIND because the carrier never sold those, and I don't think too many factory unlocked RFF91LWs exist.
