    i had problems with my Z10 so thought of restoring it to factory settings. i have done a full back up contacts also. i started my restoration to factory setting process using BB link, during the process my phone fell down and i have restarted my device the restoration process continues but the restoration process is talking too long, it has been two hours but still the restoration process has not completed. this screen appears for the past two hours and it still continues. what am i supposed to do now ? wait until it is complete ? any other way ? please help me with this.

    That looks like the Security Wipe screen and it can take a really long time to complete.

    i read in few websites like, it will take 15 to 20 mins, but it has been 2 hours but still the same screen.

    Depends on how much you had in your phone. Mike take about 50 minutes. And that's with everything deleted from the phone (after running an autoloader).

    Some folks have said the security wipe (which may be part of what you are doing) can take a number of hours. Go to sleep and see if it is finished in the morning. If not finished you may have to take additional steps that others will suggest.

    Do NOT freak out and do a battery pull. Let it do its thing. A battery pull while the phone is ON is never good even though it's being touted as an elixir for everything. Just let it run its course.

    Op it's been 9 hours since my last comment. If it's still in a wipe them your phone is probably messed up. So has it finished yet?

    finally it is done thank god, but not the problem is that i cannot restore my phone from a backup file which i have created from link. i have tried many ways to restore, but nothing is working, i have very important data in the backup file, im so frustrated. please help me with this.

    back up file is done from os version 10.2.0.1791
    i get the error "this couldnt be done the dive has a problem or it is not connected to the pc. please make sure you connect to pc and turned on"

    i have tried in these processes
    1 installing new updated software 10.2.0.1793 and tried restore process same error
    2 installing back to 10.2.0.1791 and tried restoring same error
    3 installing 10.2.1.1057 and tried restoration process , same error

    this link has few steps to follow for restoration procedure still the same Fkn error,

    i Hate blackberry link :/

    I think folks have said that you can sometimes use Sachesi to restore even a Link backup but I'm not certain. There is a thread on Sachesi in the OS beta or leak subforum. You might also ask there. Good luck
