Does wide band hd voice work between different carriers? Example, Z10(1) on rogers networks calls Z10(2) on wind network.

Yes it does - at least on my end. When I call one friend with a Z10 on Bell (I'm on Telus), we both usually get the HD. Also, when I call my wife on her Telus iPhone, I also get the HD.

But from I understand bell and Telus use the same network. Same with Fido and rogers.. I call my wife's iPhone 5 on Fido from my rogers z10 and get hd voice. Anyone try to make a hd voice call between Rogers and bell (or Telus)? That would be a real test.

You would see an "HD" on the semi transparent band just below the caller's photo.

HD voice would work between same carrier only to my knowledge. I am not sure between Telus and Bell... maybe cause they have the particularity of sharing the same HSPA network.

Hd voice is an enhanced voice quality that some carriers have. It only matter if your carrier support it or not. So if two hd voice enabled network are in a call, both users will see the hd voice activated

when I call a relative who is on rogers and they have LG phone I get the HD when calling them.

I gather it would do the same on any network to network call that has HD calling on the network.

HD voice works with HD enabled devices like the Z10, IPhone 5. As long as you call an hd capable device and have lte a "Hd" logo will appear on your call. If you call any other device you will not get a "Hd" logo.

I actually had a problem with HD calling last week and had to call rogers. They told me that only phones like the Z10 and iPhone 5 will be able to take advantage of hd calling.

I have gotten HD audio in a call over H+ before. Neither phone had an LTE signal and one of them isn't even capable of it. There was a HD icon present throughout and I could definitely hear the difference.

Lol well I was surprised because I had heard also that it was only LTE. *shrugs*. Was definitely HD though, no doubt about it. The other phone was a Nexus 4.

I thought that the z10 dosent support hd calls. Tmobile has hd voice. They suppose to release a update for the iphone 5. Maybe when they release the wifi calling update it includes hd voice

Like I said I am with rogers no LTE service in my city and HD shows up when I call a relatives phone a LG touch screen new about a month or two ago, it's not a LTE device.

So i think if your on rogers or any network with a z10 then it will utilize the HD call sound to another phone on rogers and I assume it would maybe from a Rogers to a bell or Telus Z10 or iphone 5 or maybe some other non LTE devices too.

You don't need LTE to get HD voice... actually LTE currently only works on data... no voice calls are routed through LTE. notice than when you call someone, the radio will fall to HSPA.
