    On saturday when i was talking to a friend, i noticed that the audio quality sounded different. It sounded better than normal.

    Yesterday when I was talking to a friend, i noticed the same thing again and immediately look at my phone. It showed the words "HD" on it.

    Has anyone experienced this? And is there an on/off option for this?

    No on/off options
    I believe it's carrier based, as long as both parties have phones that can utilize the service

    Nope as it is based upon devices and service carrier to provide HD so it will depend on the call your making.
