Dropped mine on my tiled kitchen floor 2 days after I got it. Small dent on the lower right corner of the phone. No damage to the screen. I (still) have no case and no screen protector. If I had a case the dent probably wouldn't happen.

Has anyone with the Defender managed to remove the screen protector? Otherwise I'm buying the Incipio OVRMLD and a Skinomi screen protector.
But the OVRMLD doesn't have port protection...
Screen protector off and an I shieldz protector on. Did the same with my PlayBook. Works great.

Yes. I slipped on ice and wiped out, phone fell out of my hand and onto the wet, icy ground. I did not have a case for it yet at that time. It took it very well, there is a barely noticeable scuff on the corner but that is all.

I definitely suffered worse injuries than the phone.

My wife dropped hers on the floor at the airport and the screen smashed in 2 places. Phone turns on but no gestures. Had a transform shell.

Didn't drop it once yet. Got a iskin vibes, but returning it due to it not being enough. Got another similar case for much cheaper and waiting on crackberry to get the Otterbox ( other than defender)

Dropped mine on the concrete floor at work. Around a four foot fall. No harm done! No case either. I do have a Otterbox Defender now though. I find it a little big, but to scared to go naked again.

Might end up going for the incipio dualpro case. It is like the lower end Otterbox cases

dropped mine down the stairs at my university student life centre. Luckily it was in a transform case, but still just a minor scuff on the corner of the device and on the raised frame. hardly noticeable

Had mine in an Otterbox and it was in the holster on my hip at work, it got bumped and the phone did a dive out of the holster and into a tray full of coolant and oil.
I really wish Otterbox had done a better job of sealing the case way too many holes in it. I totally understand it isn't oil or waterproof no matter what though. Screen is damaged and vibrate no longer works but other than it is still functional.

Dropped mine from about waist height a feeling times while I was reffing ball hockey (had it in my hoodie pocket to keep score). Has a transform shell case with an iSkin screen protector. Minor dent on the corner of the case, and that's it. Haven't noticed any problems with the phone. When I'm back at my summer job I'm gonna need an otterbox of some kind though, the transform shell isn't going to cut it for that.

I love how i'm not the only one that says "Don't worry, it's a BlackBerry" when i drop my BB. I have tended to drop my phones 2-4 times a week going back 17 years. BBs have held up better to my clumsiness (surprised at how my naked 9800 had survived).

But, when I am able to buy my Z10 as a "premiere customer" on big blue , a Flip Shell Case will be waiting to keep it safe and warm.

I hear ya... my 9900 took quite a beating, no idea how that thing survived (i was impressed). The Z10 however, my precious, as my gf calls it is in a leather pouch when not in use (and has a space set out for it lol) but when in use... it's naked, no screen protector nothing!

    Fall two times, naked.
Once on concrete, once on wood floor.
    From my jeans pocket height.
    Zero damage.

I dropped mine on the concrete sidewalk with no case. I scratched/dented the top front plate and the trim around the side. Is there any way to repair this? I am a perfectionist, unfortunately and would rather fix AND case.

TWICE without a case. Shows very little damage. I previously had an iPhone 4S and a Nexus 4 and both were extremely fragile and scratch magnets. I just love how I can go without cases with every BB device I've ever owned.

    8820, 8300, 9000, 9700, 9800, iPhone 4S, Galaxy S2 Skyrocket, Nexus 4, Z10.

Best mobile device I've ever owned (Although I do miss the Navy Federal and ADT app from iPhone/Android). Other than that, Z10 all the way!
