The Z30's Adreno 320 should be quite a bit better than the Z10's Adreno 225.

The "official" specs say that the processor on the Z30 is Dual Core 1.7 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro Processor with QuadCore Adreno 320 GPU. It has been said in this forum that the chipset on the Z30 is a Qualcomm MSM8960AB but not much documentation can be found on this from the web. What's interesting to me is the explicit mention of a QuadCore Adreno 320 GPU. The only other OEM mobile devices that I can find which have marketed a QuadCore GPU are the Apple devices with Retina display and the more recent Moto X which uses a custom Qualcomm MSM8960DT. Does anyone know if the chipset used on the Z30 is custom and what does the reference to a QuadCore GPU really mean? Aren't all Adreno 3XX GPUs included in the various Qualcomm chipsets QuadCore? Is the Dual Core 1.7 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro Processor with QuadCore Adreno 320 GPU really the chipset which BlackBerry mentioned it was waiting for last year and helped cause the delay BB10??

According to official data sheets from Qualcomm, the only MSM8960 that has the Quad-core Adreno 320 is the DT version.

Where does the 'AB' info come from?

I extracted the 1767 OS files and found a folder called usr\lib\graphics\qc\asic_8960AB, which has a file GSLKernel-A320.so inside it. This is an Adreno 320 kernel, and the Z30 is only known BB10 device with an Adreno 320.

I also extracted files from the Z30 1768 radio, like etc\supported_devices.txt

    aristo
    astro
    anisio
    athos
    aramis
    argos
    astrox
    mtp8960ab

The Z30 is identifying it's chip using the EV-DO revision; all MSM8960 SoC's have EV-DO rev. A/B (doesn't relate to the actual model number).
