    Hi Guys.
really looking forward to buy Z10, but i got this question:

I have read the threads about Igo and Sygic. (Android)
As I understood, Sygic was kind of No-go, but iGo was ok if sideloaded?

    Could anyone confirm that?

Secondly, is there a googlemaps app for BB10? or any NATIVE GPS navigation?

    thanks!

Blackberry maps are great for navigation along with Waze(my favorite), and the latest google maps can be sideloaded. The 1st two, I can't confirm. The latter are confirmed and work great. I utilize all three. Check Appworld for Waze.

I use Navitel. It has offline maps. Mostly for European countries.

Google does not seem to be very interested in providing services or apps for BB devices. So while it is possible, don't count on it.

Mireo - Don't Panic (name of app) has offline maps but they are not cheap - about $25 +/- for each area.

Does anyone know of a good gps nav app that allows for walking or biking modes rather than just driving on roads? I need something to help navigate through city streets while on foot or on bike...the Don't Panic & BB Maps always have trouble when I'm not following the street traffic flow/one-way roads etc.

    Thanks,
    Mike.

Sideload Google's Maps. It will convert and runs fine.

Maybe Nogago but I have not installed it on my Z10. I have it on my Playbook where it was freeware.

Igo is working fine on my z10, just sideload bar and copy igo folder for 1280*720 resolution. It eats battery though as any gps would

Navitel on my q10 is by far the best one so far. It didn't eat up the battery at all - with music, texting, emailing, taking photos etc, it was on for 2500 km with battery usage being perfectly normal. For GPS buffs out there, I would also recommend HelloGPS app - plethora of data!

What do the maps costs after the initial period?

Mireo has been my fave so far, relatively inexpensive. I think I got all of Western Europe for around 20 or so

For walking and hiking I use either Endomondo or Sports Tracker or Tracks. All available at BlackBerry World.

Depends of the region. Western Balkans (entire ex Yugoslavia + Greece) set me off 16 euros. Well worth the money as the trial showed me even goat paths in Greece and Macedonia.

I already have Mireo Don't Panic, but it does not handle walking around city streets, the routing us just for just driving.
I've since dl'd BeMaps and was pleasantly surprised it not only handles walking in city, but also brings up the correct/next bus numbers...at least in my city, Vancouver.
