It started happening today, my outbound Google Talk messages started appearing as email entries in the hub. Any ideas?

Yes. It seems like Google is putting outbound Talk messages in the "Sent Items" folder....

A few days ago, I started receiving all outgoing Google Talk messages as an email on the Playbook. (I am
reading my Gmail on the Playbook). I never had that problem before.
I have been looking at all my settings on the Gmail and Gtalk account and cannot figure out what is causing this.
The first time I noticed this was after a long chat with a friend using Google Talk. Late on, when I read my email on
the Playbook, I had about 50 messages, one for each chat message that I sent.
I'm not sure if this is related to SMS or other new features.
Any help would be much appreciated.

I am experiencing this as well.. pretty annoying.

Has anyone come up with a solution? maybe a filter to archive the conversations so they don't hit the sent folder?

I do have the same problem... not experiencing this on the Z10. I wonder what's causing this.

Could this be because Google merged hangout with gtalk?

its because its keeping a record of all the chats. if you click on the setting "go off record" in the chat box, it will stop doing it. but the other party might get annoyed like my friend, who wants to keep chat history. so now we are using facebook instead

Can't really go off record since its work email. This had only started happening about 3 - 4 weeks ago.. Google definitely changed something...
