Gmail loading time slow in browser

I don't know anything about programming or anything like that, but when z10 came out there was all this stuff on the net about how the browser is so awesome, and the BlackBerry crew was saying it's the best browser experience period, but can anybody give a reason as to why Gmail loads so painfully slow when the browser is in desktop mode?

Because of all the java scripts and plugins it needs to load.

Hmmm... Gmail loads just fine for me, both mobile and desktop versions, I have my browser in normal mode, not desktop mode. On OS 10.0.9.422. Using LTE or wifi, I just tried both versions on both connections. What OS version are you using?
