On my Z10 if I delete a Gmail from the hub, isn't deleted, but it's archived.
The image settings are right, I tried from other devices and operating systems and they get deleted.
On my PlayBook and on my Z10, they don't get deleted, is that normal?
It's because my Gmail language is not English? The trash folder is called differently, if I choose file to that folder, the Gmail gets deleted

I had an Android phone previously, Gmail never was deleted just archived from the phone.
You had to go into Gmail to erase your messages

Likely the default for IMAP set by Google.

Cdynot, using the dedicated Gmail app or the generic via imap?

Anyway, imap is configured correctly, because from thunderbird it gets deleted

Just realized, when using the Gmail app there are options to delete or archive.
On the generic email location (Hub for lack of term) when I deleted an email from Gmail the email was archived.
