    Hi Folks,

So the day is almost near, I should have my Z10 by the 30th - a slightly belated birthday present :-) Takes time to get stuff from Canada to Dubai.

What do I need to know? I am not super tech savy but am very excited about this phone.

I have had my Torch and Playbook for a year now and it has been great.

So what do i need to know? for eg:
how do I transfer BBM contacts?
I will be getting a new micro sim - so is it easy to transfer contact numbers?

Anything you think that might make setting up process easier based on your experience.

I know what I will be doing this weekend :-)

You can use BB Link to transfer contacts from your 9800 to your Z10, that includes BBM contacts.
Some apps that were on BBOS are not on BB10
    Sideloading is VERY EASY

Other than that, enjoy your new device :-)

If you use your BlackBerry ID to log in onto the new phone, you should have all your BBm Contacts.
Address Book - If you are syncing your current BlackBerry to your Gmail / Hotmail / Outlook accounts - Your contacts will be synced into the new device once you set up the accounts on it.

Alternatively, you could also transfer via BlackBerry Link.

Yet another alternative - Backup your Addressbook using BlackBerry Protect. OS 10, does allow you to use BlackBerry Protect to restore from a previous Backup (I haven't tried this, but this is what it says on the screen).
