So I just saw the S4, and on the spec sheet it looks killer.
I, personally, am going in for the Z10 because I need something fresh and new. Do you guys think it'll pull the potential BB10 owners from buying BB devices?
Plus probably the price range would be very similar to the Z10's.

BB is one up > SECURITY. Even if the S4 has the same keyboard as the Z10, or even if BB gets all the apps in the PlayStore, BB is still my choice.

I think the S4 will only swayperson that waits 1 month till the price drops to 49.99 w/ 3 year contract.

Also, the octa-core processor that it has would make things fast, but even quad-cores haven't been used to their full potential in terms of apps. I wonder what use the octa-cores.

The s4 is basically a s3s so if you were going to get the s3 you'd now likely get the s4. Otherwise I'm betting its the same plastic flimsy device that still runs android.

Me, the HTC one had some appeal, the s4 does not. Z10 all the way for me.

It is an octocore processor in name only really. 4 high power 4 low power cores. Battery saving mechanism in theory.

Samsung is doing a specs war. There will always be people being lulled to Galaxy 4. But smarter people choose BlackBerry Z10.

High res display plus enough gimicks to bring an old computer to its knees and a giant screen housed in plastic. I really never got how the S3 did so well when there were so many nice android phones. But Z10 for me!

I wouldn't say the specs are killer...better, maybe, but only marginally. BlackBerry isn't playing the specs game anyway, but the experience game, and it looks to me like the Z10 will be the one with the better experience. I'm a bit biased, however.

I think we are past the hardware wars. Samsung can release whatever incremental spec improvements they want but they won't be able to beat BB10.

I don't see any useful difference from the s3 to the s4... The z10 on the other hand is a completely new OS and is really amazing! It isn't always about specs.. I'm coming from an Iphone and i love what blackberry did with this phone. So if people are looking for change (witch I'm sure a lot of people are) it isn't going to be from the s4 or Iphone 5. BlackBerry 10 is the new kid on the block and offers something completely different from other stale OS'

Yet its nothing special & will cause the phone to heat up. Remember when the Quad-core came out? Full of problems.

To be honest, Octa-core is just a gimmick same as their air touch. Sony came out with that first then Samsung did. Same with the 1080p screen. No need for that as 720p is enough. No one will sit there watching movies / shows none stop like you do with a television. Same design from the S3, Note 2, Galaxy tablet Note ( whatever its called). Honestly they need a new style for a " Flagship" phone they call. All they cared about was the specs..

I checked out videos on YouTube and the android central review and damn does it ever lag. I mean I get that it isn't the final release but a month before the release date and it lags like that on an "8" core processor doesn't impress me in the slightest.

Exactly. You will have the Android fans tell you how its in final stages & blah blah blah. When you announce a phone to the world & release it within that same month or month after, it should be done & finalized. They have a month for them to release it. I am sure all the phones are hooked up with the OS & already boxed in the warehouse waiting to be shipped out. If it lags now, wait until actual customers see it.

The only people even remotely bothered about how many cores it has are the kind of people that play supposedly cutting edge games on their phones. Or the hardware numpties that think bigger = better. The average user probably won't even notice until it drains the battery flat in a matter of hours from simple tasks.
