Hi guys. today i got up and went on my routine BB email check, to find out it was erratic. i had some whatsapp activity, so decided to answer. curious thing was that anything i wrote did not remain in the history of the conversations. so i realized it must need a reboot. i turned the phone off, and when turning back on... alas.... will not boot. the white "Blackberry" logo will sit there forever and phone won't boot. won't even get to the progress bar... any ideas or advice anyone??

Try a restart:

Press and HOLD both Vol Up/Down buttons. Keep holding while the screen goes fully black (ignore the screenshot), keep holding through the Black/White logo and when the Colored Logo shows up, release those buttons.

If you have the STL100-1 variant the volume button reset method doesn't work. In that case, Press and HOLD the Power On Button until you see the LOGO as above

i tried the batt, no luck. OS version is 10.1.0.4181. im in costa rica, central america. will try the restart method, tks guys. will keep u posted

unfortunately, i lost my patience... i took it back to my provider and they are taking a look into it. am on a loaner z10, and have told me that in case of needing to replace it, they will replace it with a Q10. any comments on whether its a good change or not please?

Value wise the q10 is worth more, so you could sell it make some cash and buy a z10

Also q10 has miracast, fm radio, better battery and some other I can't think of off the top of my head

Try this: Remove the battery then connect it on your computer... yes without the battery. Then run Blackberry Link and reload OS. Then somewhere between the process, put the battery back. Just cant remember when. -__-" But yea! It worked for me!
