HI guys,

I work in a French Environement, and everytime we send a email from the blackberry, the french characters simply disapears.
But on the Z10 no issue.

EX :
Je vais l tre bientt.
Envoy de mon smartphone BlackBerry 10.

Should be :
Je vais �tre l� tr�s bient�t.
Envoy� de mon smartphone BlackBerry

Is someone else having the same issue, is their a fix ?
Does any one have a solution ?

I'll be damed, I get the same results! I sent one to my BES10 account and one to my gmail account. The one on bes is missing the french characters and the one on gmail is fine.

I don't have a fix sorry, just corroborating your findings.

Does your company use a BES server? It would appear that your email server is stripping out special character encoding. Essentially, this means that for some reason the server only supports basic latin characters, and doesn't have support for language-specific characters installed.

We have exactly the same problem here. It happens only with the BlackBerry Z10, it doesn't happen with iPhone4 or iPhone 5 or older Blackberry 9900 and under.

We don't have BES10, we use ActiveSync, Exchange Server 2003 SP2 with Outlook 2003 or Outlook 2010.

Any tip ?

It also happens from Outlook to outlook. So I am not too concerned.

I even get emails from France with all the accented letters removed.

No more reboots. I love my Z10 again.

I have the same issue but only if I'm sending emails from my outlook.com email from my z10. Other things is that this behaviors doesn't appear if I reply from an email already containing accents.
