Well as I post this, I am keeping my fingers crossed that the issue is fixed.
    This is what I did.
First turn off the BlackBerry protect.
    Then Turn off WiFi
    Then turn off data
    Turn off all location services.
After that did a battery pull, and after the phone booted back up, I didn't touch it for abt 10 mins. Then test the gyro sensor by launching the compass and pictures and email. It works then turn on WiFi and waited 5 min and did the test again, then turn on data, and repeat, after that location services, and finally BlackBerry protect. It's been about 2 hours since the battery pull and its working.
Just wanted to share with you all, hope fully this will help.

The issue is fixed. Just a restart should fix the issue by now.

    Still working...lol
Well I hope it is fixed. I did several re-starts with and without battery pulls. It would work for a min or 2 then back to square one. This is the first time that it's still working since the restart..been little over 2 hours.
Still makes me curious what caused it. Since it started acting up I didn't do any updates, installed or deleted any apps.

Clewey tweeted issue is fixed, just reboot

    Attachment 226766

I have location services back on, and all is well again

I'm going to assume it was server side specific to BBM

Hmmm wonder why not everyone got that issue? I think people, including myself, on 1055 didn't have this happen to them. But then I didn't really dig much into it

I am curious too. Does anyone one running the official version of OS got hit too...or only people running the leaks.

I'm running an official release and have no proximity sensor so it's not just the leaks.

No. I meant 1055 was NOT affected, or at least it seems that way. 1055 is the latest leak.
